Avoid Buying Holiday Décor

What I mean by avoiding Holiday décor is for example having several items that say “Valentine’s Day”, “Easter”, 4th of July”, “Halloween”, “Thanksgiving” or “Christmas” are not versatile to use for several holidays throughout the year. Sticking to a color palate will help you to have more décor options on every holiday. For example, find a few staple red items. Any of your red décor can be used for July, December and even into February for the 4th, Christmas/Winter and Valentine's Day. Orange decor is also a color that can be used during all of the Fall months, September-November. This way you aren’t limiting yourself to your holiday specific stash only. And you reduce the total amount of items you have to store!

Tips: If you do really fall in love with a holiday item, wait until the holiday passes and buy it at 70-90% off!
